Appearance

• Small, agile monkey with exaggerated proportions and constantly busy animations.
• Bright carnival ringmaster outfit with a bold waistcoat and jacket.
• Usually holding a brass bell, a whistle, or shiny game tokens; bounces, spins, and strikes poses so he reads from a distance.

Personality

• Loud, playful, and a show-off who lives for applause, but kind-hearted under the act.
• Celebrates player success with big cheers and treats failure as a prompt to have another go.
• Talks like a carnival barker at all times.

Gameplay & Narrative Function

• Mini-Game Gatekeeper: Sets up Carnival Stands in every level and checks the player's inventory for the required mini-game hats before granting access.
• Progress Dashboard: His permanent hub Carnival Pitch updates visually with completion percentages, stars, and stamps earned across the game.
• Breaking the Fourth Wall: A subtle "show business instinct" hints he knows he is an NPC in a video game; he treats gating restrictions as stage directives.

• Layout: Slightly off the hub's main path. Warm lantern light, dangling bulbs, striped fabric awnings, and colorful flags. Unlocked mini-game props gather around the space as players progress.

Relationships

• NPC - Hootsworth: Keeps borrowing and modifying his trade hats for stage performances; Hootsworth is not impressed.
• NPC - Mortimer Mole: Nicknames him "Professor" and announces artifact discoveries like circus acts, to Mortimer's embarrassment.
• NPC - Sergeant Sky: Keeps trying to turn the Elder Trials into loud competitive spectacles, and gets shut down every time.
• NPC - Blob Makin: Treats the grumpy king as a novelty act, shouting at him to "go bigger" with his bounces.
• Character - Koopa: Hype-man. Boosts the cautious turtle's confidence before dangerous games.
• Character - Kiko: Cheers on Kiko's reckless approach to challenges, whatever the outcome.
