Shark
Checked against the project files: Documented from the implemented enemy. It currently swims in the Hub demo level, and the project marks it as a rough prototype.
Concept
The only swimming enemy. The Shark never performs an attack; it simply owns its stretch of water. Touching it hurts, and it is very good at touching you.

Lore
Behaviour & AI
- Cruises its water volume on a patrol until something enters its territory.
- While chasing, it leads the target's velocity by about half a second, so swimming in a straight line is not safe.
- If a target stands on land above its water, the Shark circles beneath them at a fixed stalk radius and waits.
- It has no attack state. Contact itself deals the damage, backed by a flat horizontal shove that throws the victim out of the water's control volume.
- Kiko takes extra upward knockback from the shove, enough to recover into flight.
- Its presence is telegraphed through Kiko's threat ring, so an aware player always knows when one is hunting.
Combat & Player Interaction
- Fighting the Shark is not the point. It shapes routes: players cross its water quickly, in bursts, or find a way around.
- The shove is the punishment. It costs position and momentum more than health.
